USMLE Step One Course

USMLE Step one is the first of three examinations that are part of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). It is a one-day, eight-hour examination that assesses whether medical school students or graduates understand and can apply important concepts of the basic medical sciences to the practice of medicine. The exam consists of seven 60-minute blocks containing a total of no more than 40 questions each. Step 1 plays an important role in determining whether a student will be accepted into a residency program upon graduation from medical school.

Dr. Bukhari, MD, is a board-certified practicing physician.

After medical school, he joined the research team at the University of Chicago and then Northwestern University.

He completed internal medicine residency training in Ohio and currently works as an internal-medicine board-certified hospitalist in Illinois.

He is also an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Illinois.
